What is VGC?

VGC (Video Game Championships) is the official competitive format for Pokémon video games, organized by The Pokémon Company. Players compete in double battles using teams of four Pokémon selected from a party of six. The format features seasonal regulations that determine which Pokémon are allowed, and tournaments range from local events to the annual World Championships.

Players earn Championship Points (CP) by placing well at official tournaments. These points accumulate throughout the season and determine qualification for Regional Championships, International Championships, and ultimately the World Championships.
